Indian Jute Mill

The English established most of the old jute mills around Kolkata in the 1880’s. The jute industry was brought to the area as an economic stimulus measure to prevent further revolt against the British Empire. This is one of the oldest jute mills in the area. It is still operating as it did back in the 1800’s with original vintage machines.
